Sudeley Castle
Wednesday 12 June 2019

Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire is the home of Lady Ashcombe and her family.  The present house dates back to the 15th century and contains many treasures from Roman times to the present and has played an important role in our national history for 1000 years.  It was the home of Katherine Parr after she married Thomas Seymour soon after her third husband, Henry Vlll died.  She survivied him by one year and is buried in the beautiful 15th century chapel.  The castle is surrounded by by ten award winning gardens.  These include the Queens' Garden, so called because four queens admired the roses here.
